We biked almost 20 miles on the Des Plaines River trail starting from Wheeling and heading south. So for those of you who have been following this blog, it was about halfway through the course that we canoed in May. It is much easier to bike it than to canoe it, because the river has little if any current; meaning you have to paddle all the time to make any distance.
So we stopped at one of the dam sites and got a couple of shots
Then we went on and I thought I would get one 'in the woods' since this particular section of the trail is almost like single track mountain biking (without the mountains--it is Illinois after all!)
