We stayed at the Caravan Motel just off of Interstate 80 on our way to Jackson, Wyoming. The place was not extraordinary in any sense of the word but we sure did enjoy the diner that was affiliated with it. It was right out of the fifties, right down to the Do-Wop music that they played. I couldn't help but take some pictures of our stroll down memory lane.
We got into Jackson on the 7th and had enough time to stroll the historic town area and some of the more touristy sections. Everything definitely had a western theme and it all fits perfectly. We made reservations for a whitewater rafting excursion for tomorrow down the Canyon of the Snake River...I can't wait!
I got a good shot of Chuck under one of the four elk horn arches that they built on each corner of the town square. The horns fall off each year and the elk grow new ones; the local boy scouts have collected these and the arches were built in this manner.
