Nasty things happen

I got together with my aunt and cousin and a friend to go shopping. I was a little late as you can see by my cousin's scowl...anyway we left for our trip to St Louis and things were going well until an 18 wheeler moved quickly to the left lane to make room for a car entering the highway. There was not much space between him and us but seconds later a loud boom had us counting our blessings that whatever hit the windshield did not actually come through into the car. We likely would not have survived it, since it happened at the speed limit of 70MPH.
